Miss L is busy learning all about her letters. One of my favorite ways to teach is to incorporate letters, sounds, and fun crafts. I was inspired by all the snow we were having this past winter and decided to create an S is for snowman craft! I looked through the internet for one I liked but didn’t really find one. So, I took combinations of worksheets, the letter S, and a piece of construction paper to come up with this fun and simple one! Learn how to make this S is for Snowman Craft Below.

Make it a Complete Lesson
One of my favorite ways to teach little ones is by combining videos, books, and crafts together into one unit study. So, for example, since this craft has to do with the letter S and snow, you could find a combination of alphabet books or videos to show or read. You could also show videos on the science behind snow, seasons, and so many other possibilities! Here are some of our absolute favorite videos to show while learning all about snow.

S Is for Snowman Craft
Now, on to the fun part! Do you want to create this fun S is for Snowman craft to do with your little ones? This is a great craft for all ages. Littler ones may need a little more help from an adult, but they will still enjoy putting together their fun snowman! Take a look below at how I made this snowman.
How to Make S is for Snowman Craft
The first step to making this craft is to gather all the materials you will need. Here is a complete list:
- Letter S template
- Snowman accessories templates (we found ours here.)
- Blue construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
First, cut out your S template and the snowman accessory template. Then, allow your little one to color them however they would like! There are so many ways to customize their snowman. Chances are they may spend a ton of time on this particular part of the craft. Let them take their time with it, there’s so much learning going on!
Next, glue the S template onto the blue construction paper. Now, comes the fun part. Let your child assemble their snowman however they please! Now, your child has created a unique snowman straight from their imagination.
