One thing I’ve always loved about having little ones around during the holidays is watching how excited they get over the simplest things.
A new coloring page? Exciting!
A fun worksheet with a holiday theme? Even better!
And when you can sneak a little learning into those fun activities, it’s a win for everyone.
Today I’m sharing free Thanksgiving counting worksheets that are perfect for preschoolers and kindergarteners who are learning their numbers.
Free Printable Thanksgiving Counting Activities
These Thanksgiving counting activities are a simple way to help your little ones practice early math skills.
I have two counting activities to share, including a fun color-the-squares counting worksheet.
These are great activities for preschoolers who are beginning to recognize numbers, count objects, and work on basic number skills.
And because they’re Thanksgiving-themed, they’re perfect for adding a little seasonal fun to your November learning activities.
How to Use These Thanksgiving Counting Worksheet
Start by printing the worksheets.
Sit down with your child and look at the directions together.
If they’re just beginning to learn how to count, help them work through the problems one at a time.
You can also make the activity more hands-on by using small objects to practice counting before completing the worksheet.
A few buttons, blocks, or other age-appropriate counting objects can make learning a little more exciting.
Remember, little kids learn best when they aren’t feeling pressured.
If your child is getting frustrated, it’s okay to take a break and come back later.
Learning should be fun!
