Happy day three of December! Do you know what that means? It means, it’s time for more fun winter activities for kids! Today I want to share with you the DIY Christmas ornaments we made yesterday.
While I was walking the aisles of Dollar Tree, I noticed that they had these cute little empty ornaments. Next to it of course was all sorts of goodies to decorate with. So, I thought why not make our own this year? Typically, we will buy one ornament per kid every year, but this was so much more fun!

Materials Needed for DIY Christmas Ornaments
This is one of those activities where creativity is your best friend. The options are limitless really. But this is what we did. If you happen to have a Dollar Tree around, this can be a great place to pick up craft items. So can the craft aisle at Walmart. Here is what we used:
- Empty ornaments
- Pom pom ribbons
- pom poms
- Mini evergreen trees
- Glitter (Because why not?)
- Glue
- Small bows
How to Put Together the DIY Christmas Ornament
This one is pretty self-explanatory, so I’m not going to dive deep into everything you need to do. Just use the glue to attach all the items you would like. Set your kids lose to stretch their creativity! You will love to see everything they come up with and then display them on your tree! Don’t forget their names and the year so you can cherish it for years to come.
