Build a Snowflake Toddler Craft
In order to make this simple build a snowflake toddler craft, you only need a few things that you most likely already have laying around the house, especially if you have kids! Of course, you can choose to take creative license with this activity. Design multiple smaller snowflakes, use different colored construction paper, or even make the snowflakes varying sizes. The possibilities are only as limited as the creativity you possess.
Materials Needed for the Snowflake Craft for Toddlers
Before you go out and buy items for this craft, take a look around your home to see what you already have. If you do need to buy materials, try looking at the Dollar Tree first, that’s where I typically get the bulk of our craft supplies. The materials you need for this snowflake craft are:
- White paper
- Construction paper (I used blue)
- A bowl to hold the torn pieces of construction paper
- A pencil or pen
- Glue
- Your imagination
How to Set up and Create This Simple Hands-on Snowflake Activity
Set up for this craft is easy. Grab your construction paper and tear it into smaller pieces. You can enlist your children to help you with this part if they love hands on activities!
Place all the construction paper torn pieces into a bowl for easy grabbing.
Next, take your pencil or pen and draw a snowflake onto the white paper. This is where your imagination comes in handy!
When you are finished drawing the snowflake or snowflakes, smear some glue onto the lines and have your toddler place a torn paper onto the snowflake. They continue this step until they cover the snowflake completely with construction paper. If your child wants, you can let them handle the glue.
Now you have a simple, hands on build a snowman toddler craft that is great for when you are in a pinch!
